A crocodile has been spotted in Lamvya Bay (October 2008). John Barnaba is getting into the water to warn the unsuspecting Magnus photographing Julidochromis sp. “Regani Samazi” at 12 metres’ depth.
The water of Lamvya Bay is stagnant and the habitat is sediment rich. The shoreline is overgrown with reeds, an ideal habitat for crocodiles, which we repeatedly had to get out of the water to avoid while surveying the bay's fish fauna in 2008.
